A few days ago, I had the chance to grab some sponsorship images with multiple SA swimming champions; Matthew Sates.

I previously have had the privilege of photographing Matt doing what he does best; winning in the swimming pool. Back in 2020 I had the honour of photographing the Swimming SA short course championships in Pietermaritzburg.

It was great to experiment, and try out some new ideas that both Matt and myself had for photographs. I believe its always key to communicate with your client, to understand their needs and what they looking for from the photographer.

Back in 2020, it was great to witness; now a fellow St Charles Old Boy, excel at all disciplines in the pool. It's awesome to photograph such an all rounded athlete and at the time, still balancing school work and his professional swimming career.

I was very honoured to do my part, to be part of promoting such a great athlete and an amazing brand. After our shoot concluded Matt flew off for some international competitions, all the best Matt.
