TRACK CYCLING PHOTOGRAPHY
Cycling is one of my greatest personal passions, its something I personally love and enjoy doing. With this being said, I feel like my personal love for cycling gives me inspiration and a unique perspective on what images clients and athletes are looking for.
It is always such an honour to photograph something I personally enjoy,
I have had the honour of covering some of the biggest Cycling events; sometimes alongside some of the biggest photographers, and for some pretty amazing clients to add. Its always an honour to get behind the camera and capture something special. I'm always willing to try something new and push my limits, as I believe you can never stop learning.

2017 African Continental Track Championships
In 2017, I had the amazing honour of being the the head photographer at a the African Track Championships; the biggest track event of the year on the African continent. I had great fun in the sun on all 3 days of the event, they were all action packed from start to finish. Track racing is quite a challenge to photograph; you are limited with angles and opportunities. I thrive under the pressure and it makes me push my boundaries. I had great fun capturing the raw emotion of the cyclists, as there is no greater honour than racing and representing your country. I look forward to photographing many more track events in the future, from small local meets, to large international events, they all bring their own challenges and rewards. |
2019 African Continental Track Championships
Although I wasn't the photographer for the event, I thought I would go grab a few images of the Track championships as it was held on my door step in Pietermaritzburg. It was great to get out into the sun and grab some images. I find track cycling particularly difficult to shoot, as the number of angles you have to play with is very limited. None the less I always try push my boundaries and try new things. After all you never stop learning in the world of photography. |
