Waterra KZN
In 2019 I had the amazing opportunity to cover the awesome Waterra Challenge. This type of event really excites me, sweat, smiles and on the day a whole lot of mud! An adventure race is always exciting, bringing many challenges to both athletes and myself, but I thrive on the challenge makes capturing those images more special. I love going that extra length to get that special shot, try new angles and get down and dirty to get the sneaky shot no one was ever expecting. Its a type of an event I really love to shoot. Stadium Dash - The Night Shift
In 2019, I had the pleasure of capturing a pretty unique event. The stadium Dash was a night held event in Durban where athletes raced around the stadium complex around Kings Park. The shoot was a challenge when it came to movement as well as the use of light; well the lack of it, but I thrived on this and enjoyed the new challenge and took it head on. It was a great colourful event and I enjoyed using light in a creative manner to create some cool shots. its an event I hope to shoot more of in future years! The IMPI Challenge - KZN
A few years back, I had the amazing honour of photographing the Impi Challenge, a new event at the time. What an awesome event, so much excitement by everyone who took part including myself. It was an extremely tough course, and it showed on athletes faces. I enjoyed capturing that emotion and frustration when they couldn't tackle a particular obstacle. I hope to shoot this event again when it comes back to KZN. |
