Just over a week ago, I was given the amazing opportunity to photograph at one of KZN more famous festivals, The Pecanwood Oktoberfest. My focus was based mainly on the trail runs, that took place on the Saturday morning.
Runners slowly running up one of the many hills in the midlands, but the view at the top is worth it! - (c) Andrew Mc Fadden / BOOGS Photography
Andrew Taylor making the dam crossing, all smiles as he enjoys his time on the trails - (c) Andrew Mc Fadden / BOOGS Photography
The runners really had a stunning run, with breath taking views and awesome trails, it definitely was a welcome distraction to the tough course the organisers had planned for all the competitors.

Molly-Gayle Valentine sweeps her way through one of the single track sections of the trail run - (c) Andrew Mc Fadden / BOOGS Photography
No matter how challenging the terrain, all runners seemed to be loving the trails, with smiles and laughs shared by everyone. The organisers had a surprise for athletes, where traditional water stations were replaced by beer tents entertainment.

Russel Canning all smiles and fist pimps as he recognises the camera, clearly loving his trail run - (c) Andrew Mc Fadden / BOOGS Photography

A rather unique way to end a trail run, Louw Naude slipping down the slide with a huge smile on his face - (c) Andrew Mc Fadden / BOOGS Photography
All athletes seemed to have a great time and enjoyed themselves, it makes it such a pleasure to photograph such a happy event.

In the end it was an amazing event to cover! And I hope to be back next year to do it all over again!

Until next time.
