Let's builda bike

This afternoon, I grabbed my Nikon and I headed across town to photograph something a bit different. Team Spur are in town for the Cycling SA cup and they were putting Alan Hatherly's Specialized race machine together.

It was really awesome to photograph a different element of the sport, and to capture the great detail JP went into making this machine run like a dream! Such focus and attention went into this bike build and it was really awesome to capture the process.

At the same time, it was really awesome to push my Nikon D750 limits in the low light situation. Being the middle of water, the sun disappeared before we could even blink, and having a lack of lighting, it made some very challenging conditions but I was extremely impressed with how the camera performed!
