I had the awesome opportunity the other day, to grab my camera and go shoot in some challenging conditions at Coffeeberry Cafè in Pietermaritzburg.
Picture
It was my first proper shot using my new Nikon D750, and I was excited to see how it would perform in the low light.
I had a great afternoon, photographing staff and customers. The restaurant was a buzz, a full house of customers, giving me a large range of subjects to work with.
Picture
I was blown away by the Nikon D750's image quality in the low light situation. With the restaurant being quite dark, I managed to stretch the camera's legs by taking it to its far end of its ISO range, and it performed extremely well. Photos were sharp and clear, with the camera providing a great amount of detail.

The day was aided by having some very happy and enthusiastic staff to work with. The team at Coffeeberry are always wearing a smile on their face. It was really fun to capture everyone in action and working hard. It was also great to capture the interactions between staff and customers, showing how eager the D750 is to capture photos.

All that being said, I had a great time capturing the ins and outs of the restaurant. Putting my camera and my skills through its paces and trying new things. Its always great to capture a happy environment, and I thank the Coffeeberry crew for the great hospitality. Excited for the adventures to come behind my camera!

Until next time.
